HURACÁN WASH is the latest wash-type luminaire of the HURACÁN family, AYRTON has designed an entirely new Fresnel lens with an optical structure specially developed for use with framing barndoors, also favouring use with geometric gobos or ovalisation lenses, without constraints. Well-suited for use indoors as well as outdoors, the fixture was equipped with an ultra-intensive 2° beam and 21x zoom ratio, making it an extraordinary tool that for achieving incredibly exciting effects. PERSEO BEAM was endowed with unprecedented graphic capability, offering a wide choice of 48 fixed and rotating gobos distributed on two wheels, including 28 glass gobos for the projection of high-definition images and 20 metal gobos specifically created to sculpt light in beam mode. KARIF LT was a versatile new fixture in the LT series. This was a machine with phenomenal powers capable of delivering stunning visual effects. An ultra-compact 300-watt beam-spot luminaire equipped with a 168 mm frontal lens, KARIF LT offered an astronomical zoom ratio of 17:1 and a zoom range of 2.8° to 47°. To achieve an ultra-intense beam with a LED source, AYRTON used an entirely new miniaturised high-efficiency low-etendue compact LED module. Calibrated at 8000 K, it could generate powerful metallic white light and deep, vivid colours suitable for this type of application. In this first hybrid LED luminaire, AYRTON added continuous rotation to its panoramic movement to expand the possibilities for creating complex special effects. AYRTON’s latest innovation, DIABLO, was a versatile, feature-rich 300-watt profile luminaire based on the ultra-compact MISTRAL format. The company took on the ambitious challenge of making DIABLO the smallest, lightest and most efficient luminaire of its category. With a record output of 19,000 lumens and a total weight of 21.8 kg, DIABLO was a powerhouse of technology that would tempt the most demanding lighting designers. To achieve its objective, Ayrton miniaturised the framing system while maximizing the performance level. As in other profile luminaires of the product line, the framing section allowed accurate positioning of its four shutter blades on a 100% surface area in all positions, so that the user could frame any object regardless of the luminaire’s position. The 119 mm frontal lens produced an extremely uniform flat beam that could render images perfectly in all conditions and at any beam angle. DIABLO was available in two versions: S and TC.

AYRTON once again pushed the limits with a newly designed profile luminaire – KHAMSIN – squeezing a 750-watt LED module into the highly compact GHIBLI format, while offering 60% more light output. To make the luminaire this compact, AYRTON completely redesigned its internal structure by using cast aluminium sides. The size of the cooling system also had to be dramatically reduced and made even more efficient. The new WILDSUN K25-TC (True Colour) was an evolution of the WILDSUN K25, specially geared to shooting and broadcasting in high-definition. Producing extremely high-quality light without flickering, this luminaire achieved a colour temperature perfectly calibrated at 5700 K and a colour rendering index greater than 92. This was the only LED luminaire capable of measuring up to the classic Fresnel HMI 2,500 and 4,000 lights in terms of pure output. MINIBURST was a versatile new graphic strobe luminaire with fast and powerful continuous unlimited rotation on pan and tilt, combining the main features of the MAGICBURST in an ultra-compact format. Its unique minimalist design with no visible edges, a reduced visual footprint and lighter weight, made MINIBURST ideal for integration into a greater variety of applications. A 192 x 192 mm squared face supported 960 high-output LEDs grouped into 16 pixels on a 4 x 4 matrix. The duration, speed and intensity of each 60-LED pixel could be individually controlled to create breathtaking strobe effects. NANDOBEAM S9 luminaire was the latest development and the most powerful fixture in the NANDOBEAM product line. NANDOBEAM S9 was equipped with 55 high-performance Osram 15-watt RGBW LED emitters arranged in rings around a central LED which was independently controllable, offering a multitude of graphic effects possibilities. AYRTON put utmost care into the design and selection of materials when it developed its 5:1 optical zoom. AYRTON equipped the luminaire with a solid cluster of 55 lenses to help reduce diameter and optimize design. The wide 8° to 40° adjustable zoom-spread made NANDOBEAM S9 highly versatile. WILDSUN S25 was the full colour variation on the powerful WILDSUN K25. Equipped with 217 ultrapowerful RGBW mono-chip LED emitters, this technologically innovative marvel was the most powerful moving-head LED wash fixture on the market. With overall light output of 60,000 lumens, it rivaled the 2,500 and 4,000-watt HMI luminaires fitted with colour filters, but with far greater flexibility of use and lower maintenance. LED emitters were distributed over six 60° segments, and colours in each 36-diode segment could be controlled individually. The proprietary, silicone-based, high-output 6:1 optical zoom ensured perfect colour stability over time, with a zoom range of 10° to 60°. ALIENPIX RS was a conceptual multi-rotational luminaire based on designs by an Italian manufacturer in the ‘80s. After four years of development and numerous preliminary iterations, the final product was finally ready for release! Five spot heads on the edge of the central disk could be controlled individually in continuous unlimited rotation. The continuous unlimited rotation of the main disk, and the pan and tilt movement, were controlled by powerful tri-phase stepper motors that allowed fast, accurate and silent positioning. MAGICBURST was the first high-power graphic LED strobe with continuous unlimited rotation on pan and tilt. A 384 x 384 mm squared face supported 3,840 high-output LEDs grouped into 64 pixels on an 8 x 8 matrix. The strobe duration, speed and intensity of each 60-LED pixel could be individually controlled to create breathtaking stroboscopic effects. With a new, state-of-the-art, ultra-compact 1,300-watt power supply, MAGICBURST could deliver peak light output of over 240,000 lumens for several seconds. COSMOPIX R was an entirely new luminaire based on the concept of the famous double-rotation spheres with PAR36 lamps, dating back to the early ‘80s. A new member of the RADICAL product line, MAGICDOT R was the first professional moving head LED luminaire with a single optical collimator. The new high-efficiency optical system measuring 94 mm in diameter and weighing over 200 grammes required more than two years of development and perfection. The result was an intense beam of less than 5° using a multi-chip RGBW LED with a light-emitting surface of 8 mm2. With its minimalist cylindrical design, the innovative MAGICDOT R, capable of continuous double rotation on the pan & tilt axes, allowed the user to create groups of luminaires and control each light emitter individually in all directions. Leaving a minimum amount of space between multiple luminaires made it possible to create configurations never before dreamt of.

DREAMPANEL SHIFT was the magic blend of two technologies: the continuous pan-tilt rotation of the MAGICPANEL and the new control system from the HDMI DREAMPANEL HD-BOX. An innovative 48-circuit rotating connector was developed to enable the smooth, undisturbed transmission of video signals through pan & tilt rotation. The DREAMPANEL SHIFT was designed with an entirely new type of RGB LED whose flat black casing and internal reflector provided absolute contrast and allowed for breathtaking graphic effects, while avoiding stray reflections from the other light emitters. DREAMPANEL TWIN was a hybrid luminaire with a MAGICPANEL on one side and a DREAMPANEL SHIFT on the other. Capable of continuous double rotation on the pan and tilt axes, DREAMPANEL TWIN could alternate between displaying high-definition video images and 3D volumetric lighting effects. The 6 mm pitch of the video side offered the perfect balance of definition required to display video media on stage, of screen size for enabling full HD, and of overall system brightness. The MAGICPANEL side had improved resolution thanks to an 8 x 8 matrix featuring patented 45 mm diameter collimators that could obtain a full 6° angle and centre-beam luminous intensity of over 73 candelas per lumen, a record achievement.

VERSAPIX RS, a contraction of versatile and pixel, was a veritable fan of light. Brilliantly evolved from the VERSAPIX 100 concept first introduced in 2012, the VERSAPIX RS was the first in the new ultra-radical RS product series. A new 40-watt reduced-scale multi-chip RGBW LED emitter was combined with innovative 94 mm diameter high-efficiency optics. Once again pushing the limits, this luminaire could generate an ultra-powerful 3.5° beam with a record-breaking centre-beam intensity of 200 candelas per lumen. With three times more power and six times more centre-beam intensity, the VERSAPIX RS offered infinite possibilities for creating 3D volumetric lighting effects regardless of the ambient light conditions.

WILDBEAM R was the smallest luminaire in the RADICAL range. Highly compact, lightweight, super-fast and powerful, WILDBEAM R was fitted with seven 15-watt Osram Ostar RGBW LED sources, each paired with high-yield 67 mm 4.5° collimated optics. Together these provided a 2,500-lumen shaft of light with a centre-beam intensity of 262,500 candelas. With a power consumption of only 130 watts and a record-breaking 90% efficiency, WILDBEAM R was the most efficient compact LED luminaire on the market. The distinctive arrangement of the optics and individual control of each LED emitter offered numerous graphic effects. A multitude of dynamic, aerial colour effects could be obtained, and the beam animated around a central point, while the crisp delineation of each component beam remained perfectly distinct.

INTELLIPIX R was a semi-transparent modular beam projection panel with twenty-five independently controllable 4.5º LED emitters in a 5 x 5 array that projected volumetric colour graphics and media far into the air. Combining revolutionary 67 mm optics with 15-watt Osram Ostar RGBW LED emitters, INTELLIPIX R exhibited more power than ever imagined by projecting 105 candelas per lumen – two and a half times more than that of a 45 mm collimator. Unique in the RADICAL Series, INTELLIPIX R was the only non-moving fixture in the range. Multiple panels could be connected together to form a giant screen or, with the aid of a conversion kit, placed under glass to create a 3D projection floor that could wrap a performing artist in dynamic columns of light.

MAGICBLADE R was a new design offering continuous double rotation on pan/tilt axes. Its unique feature was the layout of its seven RGBW LED sources in-line, paired with the highly intensive angle of the optics, making it possible to create light curtains with genuine overall consistency. On stage, the very high centre-beam intensity of MAGICBLADE R enhanced the visual perception of the beams in an environment saturated with light – vital for the creation of virtual décor. AYRTON opted for a compact design for MAGICBLADE R, with the primary objective of reducing the visual footprint of the luminaires. The fixture could thus be installed in many unique positions and – coupled with the individual control of the seven RGBW LED sources – used to create a multitude of new effects.

MAGICPANEL R represented a variant of the world famous MAGICPANEL 602, which had enjoyed huge international success since its launch. The integration of the features specific to the RADICAL range, in conjunction with continuous double rotation on two axes and a 5 x 5 matrix of individually-controlled LED sources around a central point, once again proved AYRTON was pushing the boundaries of imagination. Fitted with twenty-five 15-watt LED RGBW sources paired with 67 mm collimated optics, each MAGICPANEL R offered an overall flux of 10,625 lumens and a centre-beam luminous intensity of 1,115,500 candelas from a maximum power consumption of 450 watts. This translated into a visual perception that was twice as high as intense as with the 45 mm optics for 30% less power consumption.

MAGICRING R9 was the most powerful and extravagant luminaire in the RADICAL range. With an overall flux of 26,000 lumens and a centre-beam intensity of more than 2,730,000 candelas, it was reserved for the most extreme and unique uses and special effects. MAGICRING R9 was also the most RADICAL in terms of its dimensions. Its 61 15-watt RGBW LED sources were arranged in four rings with the gap between the optics reduced to a minimum. The power, beam concentration, point-by-point control over each luminous source and the layout of the LED rings provided numerous new graphic options including multi-colour volumetric modelling of the beam. MAGICRING R9 offered double continuous rotation on pan and tilt axes, controlled by powerful three-phase stepper motors.

NANDOBEAM S6 was a powerful and ultra-fast new generation moving-head fixture in a compact housing. Its advanced and highly efficient proprietary optical system coupled with powerful 15- watt RGBW LED sources provided a narrow 8° beam as well as wide 40° coverage. The 37 15-watt LEDs in NANDOBEAM S6 were cooled by a heat pipe equipped with heat-transfer fluids and heat-exchange material. This advanced cooling technology extended LED lifetime and ensured quiet operation, and maximum light source efficiency. A 6,000-lumen output at its 8° angle makes NANDOBEAM S6 the perfect lighting tool for use as a beam moving-head. Its wide angle capabilities of up to 40° coupled with the same light output as its narrow beam angle offered great wash light potential.

The first-born in the Creative Solutions family, MAGICPANEL 602 was a modular LED luminaire that could deliver a broad range of visual effects. Equipped with unlimited continuous rotation in pan and tilt, this fabulous fixture could not only display numbers, letters, graphic effects or images, but also act as a dazzling projector. MAGICPANEL 602 integrated the new AYRTON technology allowing individual control of each LED source in expanded Full Colour mode. Its display was made up of 36 15-watt RGBW LED emitters in a 6 x 6 array, fitted with high-output 7.5° 45 mm optics. The overall luminous flux exceeded 14,000 lumens, with maximum energy consumption of 600 watts. The square shape of the panel and perfect alignment of the optics, combined with the continuous double rotation movement, allowed lighting designers to create entirely new three-dimensional effects.

MADesign was a versatile interior architectural luminaire developed for lighting objects or people, that combined an original concept with a sleek design. Equipped with new RGBW sources and 45 mm high-performance optics, it generated an infinite palette of rich, pastel or saturated colours. The upper part of the luminaire with five individually controllable adjustable spotlights could accurately answer all needs. A backlight device was installed on the rear of the fixture. MADesign could be directly controlled through a control panel located on the main mast, by an infrared remote, or by DMX RDM. Factory-equipped with a wireless DMX RDM LumenRadio receiver MADesign was designed for fast implementation and effective service for the most demanding of users.

NANDOBEAM S3 was a powerful and ultra-fast moving-head in a compact housing. Its advanced and highly efficient proprietary optical system, coupled with state-of-the-art 15-watt RGBW LED emitters, delivered an 8° narrow beam as well as 40° wide coverage. The main benefit of the optical zoom system, which was developed especially for the NANDOBEAM product line, was a constant efficiency regardless of the zoom aperture. Its narrow angle produced a particularly effective and powerful tight beam, while its wide angle worked well for wash purposes, making NANDOBEAM S3 the perfect lighting tool for a wide range of applications. Created to meet the entertainment industry’s needs, the WILDSUN 500 S was designed to generate a narrow beam, deeper colours and increased centre beam intensity. To implement these specifications, AYRTON opted for the latest generation LED RGBW module without primary optics, to achieve a more intense beam. Built into a ceramic housing that supports increased voltage, it offered an overall flux of 11,000 lumens. The 31 15-watt LED modules were cooled by three heat sinks equipped with heat-pipe technology. The colours were chosen in collaboration with lighting designers to achieve more saturated hues. The use of a cooler white component (6700K) reinforced the impression of power.

WILDSUN 500 K series existed in three white LED source versions: WILDSUN 500 KD was an intelligent white version equipped with 31 high-power multi-chip LED sources that combined warm and cool white to offer a range of 65,536 colour temperatures adjustable from 3000 K to 7000 K. WILDSUN 500 K3, based on mono-colour LED sources perfectly calibrated at 3200 K, was developed to meet the requirements of studios seeking to reproduce halogen-type artificial lighting. The K7 version included the same type of source as the K3, but with a colour temperature calibrated at 6700 K. Equipped with these new LED sources, the WILDSUN 500 K7 achieved an unequalled flux of 18,000 lumens for a power consumption of less than 500 watts. This amazing power and low consumption associated with the full motorisation of the luminaire made the WILDSUN 500 K7 a tool particularly suitable for exhibitions and car shows.

ROLLAPIX 100 was the first motorised linear LED luminaire fitted with a 4:1 double zoom system. This new generation of luminaires was designed for the entertainment industry in collaboration with Dimitri Vassiliu, a leading French lighting designer. The distinctive capability of ROLLAPIX 100 was to integrate eight independent 10-watt RGBW LEDs using two zoom systems that could be controlled independently to create a multitude of effects. Using the luminaire’s tilt axis motor, designers could create additional effects such as partitions, barriers or moveable virtual doors. The broad zoom range of each LED group enhanced the visual effects of the light as it appeared and faded in the fog. ROLLAPIX 100 was the ideal tool for creating virtual lighting décor or highlighting theatrical scenery.

VERSAPIX 100 was a modular LED luminaire used for creating a large variety of visual effects. It was made up of eight independent 15-watt RGBW modules, fitted with 45 mm optics that produced a very powerful 8° native beam. Each LED module could be controlled individually offering a multitude of effect options. The VERSAPIX 100 units could be interchanged to create complex luminaires in the shape of discs, spheres, cylinders, fans or installed individually in multiple architectural configurations. ICECOLOR 500 offered a truly exceptional ratio of size-to-weight-to-luminosity-to-power consumption. It was fitted with two modules each comprising 20 x 10-watt RGBW LEDs. Each module could be adjusted for direction, filtered, and controlled separately to suit all scenarios. Equipped with a fanless cooling system and high-performance optics, the ICECOLOR 500 was a versatile projector offering a maximum flux of over 10,000 lumens for a power consumption of 400 watts. ICECOLOR 1000 was the latest model in its range, conceived for large spaces, with an overall luminous flux surpassing 20,000 lumens, unequalled on the market. Its native 11° optics made this luminaire ideal for long-range environments. Fitted with optional 24° to 80° holographic filters, it offered high coverage potential in close-range applications. The ICECOLOR 1000 came fitted with two 40 x 10-watt RGBW LED modules with separate controls for the eight LED matrices. The two modules could be filtered and the direction of each one adjusted independently for greater flexibility. With an IP65 protection rating the ICECOLOR 1000 was suitable for indoors or outdoors.

WILDSUN 500 C was provided with a four-colour LED source. Its cold white component calibrated at a conventional 6500 K was replaced with neutral white calibrated at 4000 K, thus reproducing a tungsten effect sought after by many lighting designers. WILDSUN 500 C was a true wash light with an optical zoom system selected for its ability to emulate a Fresnel-type beam. With 37 RGBW 13-watt LED emitters, the WILDSUN 500 C was fitted with an active cooling system using heat transfer fluid with phase change, allowing for heavy use under extreme conditions. The fixture’s independently controllable central LED and rings could generate a multitude of graphic effects. Leading lighting designer Jeff Ravitz judiciously chose WILDSUN 500 C for Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band on their 18-month Wrecking Ball world tour.

COLORSUN 200 S was a versatile luminaire with innovative technical features and a small footprint. This new generation projector opened up new creative horizons due to its 4:1 zoom ratio, zoom range of 8° to 32°, and to its 12 individually controllable LED RGBW modules. With its optical output ratio of 75%, the COLORSUN 200 S could supply a maximum flux of 3,500 lumens whilst only consuming 200 watts at full power. With matrix effects, wash lighting, beam effect, etc., the COLORSUN 200 S provided numerous user options. The new modular LED imaging display, DREAMPANEL GHOST 256, was the latest development in the DREAMPANEL line. With a high-resolution of 1820 pixels per m2, 23.44-mm pixel pitch, 5100-nit brightness and a transparency of over 50%, DREAMPANEL GHOST 256 set a new performance standard, with each of its screen segments dedicated to creating special effects. Measuring 37.5 x 37.5 cm, the luminaire body was made of highly resistant and exceptionally transparent polycarbonate with a V-0 rating. Robust, lightweight, and easy to install, the DREAMPANEL GHOST 256 was designed for both indoor and outdoor use.

COLORPLAYER 150 was a versatile IP65-rated luminaire with innovative technical features and a small footprint. Designed for both indoor and outdoor use to meet the specific needs of the live entertainment and temporary events market, COLORPLAYER 150 was environment-friendly thanks to a high optical efficiency of over 75%. This enabled it to produce an overall luminous flux greater than 5,000 lumens (AWW version) with power consumption of only 150 watts. AYRTON launched the new SLIMLED 150. This elegant multi-orientation wash-panel luminaire with 54 high-power LEDs specially geared for architectural applications existed in three LED source versions: SLIMLED 150 RGB+AW, a colour mixing luminaire; SLIMLED 150 AWW, a tuneable cold white and amber luminaire; and SLIMLED 150 FULL COLOR, an RGB colour-mixing luminaire. The SLIMLED 150 was designed for both indoor and outdoor use, capable of an orientation from 20° forward to 80° backwards in locked positions. DREAMPANEL WALL 64, a compact 25 x 25 cm modular video tile designed for architectural wall-based solutions was ideal for permanent installations. Each DREAMPANEL WALL 64 tile was in effect like a component of a construction game, allowing designers to create unlimited types of geometric screen frames to enhance architectural applications. Meant for wide-area display of graphic-animation, DREAMPANEL WALL 64 offered stunning video-rendering images, screen dimensions permitting. The resolution of DREAMPANEL WALL 64 made it suitable for building panels of 32 x 24 m over a surface area of 768 m2. The system provided an overall view of the screen with colour calibration of each pixel, achieving perfect colour balance over the entire canvas.

MODULED 150, a new variant of the celebrated MODULED 318, was a modular fixture with three independent, individually-operated matrix clusters. MODULED 150 came in three versions. MODULED 150 RGB was equipped with 54 LUXEON K2 high-power LEDs capable of emitting a multitude of rich and saturated colour hues. MODULED 150 AWW was an intelligent white luminaire, combining both cold white and amber LEDs sources, and offering a colour temperature range from 2800 to 6500 K. DREAMPANEL SCREEN 256 was a 50 x 50 cm modular video system whose features were based on those of the DREAMPANEL FLOOR. The dedicated installation kit designed for DREAMPANEL SCREEN 256 allowed users to rapidly build and install suspended screens. The latest iteration of EASYCOLOR, EYEBALL18 was a static colour-change projector equipped with 18 LUXEON high-power LEDs. EYEBALL 18 had new integrated software functions such as correction of white balance and remote parameter adjustments via the handy, pocket-size COUGAR controller. Its timeless design and practical ready-to-use features made the EYBALL 18 the ideal environmental luminaire for both permanent and temporary installations when change of colour was crucial.

AYRTON launched the DREAMPANEL FLOOR 256, the first modular floor-standing LED video screen. The patented internal design of its video tiles was specifically developed for withstanding heavy loads without altering the displayed image. Ayrton created a specific digital video controller for DREAMPANEL DV-384 that would be used in its future line of modular LED video screens. DREAMPANEL FLOOR 256 was geared for the most spectacular stage design concepts. It was selected as stage floor lighting for Canadian singer Celine Dion’s Taking Chances World Tour in 2008.

EASYCOLOR2 was a new iteration of the original LED moving head. Equipped with 36 LUXEON high-power LEDs, EASYCOLOR2 could achieve a countless number of vivid and saturated colour hues. The year of firsts: Yvan Péard began recruiting his staff, building relationships with partners and subcontractors. The new Ayrton team blueprinted the first models and made prototypes, eventually giving birth to the first AYRTON product: EYECOLOR, a professional LED-based moving-head fixture.
