Welcome to AyrtonLIVE7, the magazine which brings you hotly anticipated Ayrton news and reports.

Since the last issue Ayrton has been as busy as ever and, determined as always to surprise our customers, we will present no less than seven new products at Prolight+Sound, Frankfurt. We continue to push the envelope to offer fresh lighting tools and our latest products are no exception, bringing you a new LED engine, new optics, new cooling technologies…and, above all, new concepts!

Our stand at Prolight+Sound will host a series of spectacular demonstrations, designed by top French lighting designer Laurent Chapot, to showcase three new fixtures from our Creative Solutions product line, two new Automated Luminaires and two spectacular additions to Ayrton’s Imaging Display range, all of which are guaranteed to stun visitors with their ingenuity. An insight into what makes these new products so innovative can be seen in the following pages but, to realise their full potential, come and see them in action at Prolight+Sound or any of this year’s international tradeshows.

Ayrton luminaires enjoy an enviable career, travelling the world to deliver spectacular performances across all market sectors. Recent tours to employ our LED lights include Usher, Queen and The String Cheese Incident all of which used MagicPanel™602, MagicPanel-R and/or MagicBlade-R fixtures. AyrtonLIVE7 carries reports on these tours and more, alongside an interview with Yann Nguema of EZ3kiel who put 48 MagicPanel units at the heart of the band’s latest tour.

Ayrton fixtures have appeared on television celebrating New Year’s Eve with Fumiya Fujii at Nippon Budokan, and the hit talent show, Rising Star Hungary; on stage with Cirque Arlette Gruss as it celebrates its 30th anniversary and updated its lighting inventory to include Ayrton MagicPanel-R and MagicRing-R1; and with creators of urban lighting, Tilt, to celebrate the vintage flashlight, The Pocket, using WildSun 500C™ in an installation at the Festival of Light in Lyon.

Ayrton likes to work with dynamic partners and this issue features a company profile of FACE, the Belgian audiovisual engineering sales company which plays a major role in bringing and supporting Ayrton products across the Benelux countries.

Finally this issue’s Bench Test from SoundLightUP brings you the complete low-down on Ayrton’s MagicBlade-R which has really caught the imagination of lighting designers with its original appearance, technical excellence and controllability that inspire unique, creative design.

At Ayrton innovation is the nature of our business and we insist on delivering real innovation and value to our clients. We hope you find the following pages informative and inspirational.
